More On 2020
It’s hard to admit that 2020 has been anything but a tough and very strange year. Still the same, it’s a great time to be alive – and I am very grateful. Grateful that I get to say “Merry Christmas” and (hopefully) Happy New Year!
I’m also grateful that I’ve been blessed to celebrate Christmas (and maybe my birthday) with my mom and dad at their place here in Scottsdale, Arizona. It’s been great to see them – and we had a great Christmas turkey dinner here this evening, with their next door neighbors Bob and Vickey.
We also got to watch a good NFL game on TV where the New Orleans Saints running back Alvin Kamara tied a single game record with SIX rushing touchdowns. Tomorrow should be a full day of NFL games, with a NFL triple header. I’m pretty sure I will drive back home to San Diego on my birthday, which is Sunday.
I am more than a little depressed that I have not got to speak with either of my daughters Ava Kalea or Jacqueline Kennedy. Ava got into a car accident with her mom yesterday and Jackie is still sick with Mono as far as I know. I feel so helpless, but can just continue to pray that everyone is ok.
UPDATE: Stacia called as I was going to sleep and Ava Kalea was playing with some of her dolls. Jackie texted just before midnight, wishing me a Merry Christmas and saying that she slept most of the day.
I will continue to think about and pray for all of them – I’m thinking that 2021 will be a much better year for all of us!
